MorethanIP releases Dual 10/100/1000 Ethernet MAC to PCI-X System IP.
The DPX-133 Controller from MorethanIP provides a cost effective and integrated solution to Bridge two Ethernet links to a 133MHz PCI-X bus connected to a Host or an Embedded System. The Controller implements two complete triple speed 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet MACs compliant with the IEEE802.3-2002 standard. The MAC layer provides compatibility with Full Duplex Gigabit Ethernet LANs and legacy Half or Full Duplex 10/100Mbps Ethernet LANs. The Controller PCI-X Interface, combined with on-chip DMA controllers, provides an efficient Frame transfer mechanism with no software overhead. The DPX-133 PCI-X interface is also compatible with legacy 33/66MHz 32/64-Bit PCI busses.

MorethanIP announces new 10/100/1000 Ethernet MAC-NET Core.
At high network speeds, or when CPU resources are limited, the processing load caused by network layers to perform TCP/IP or UDP/IP transactions can quickly become unacceptable as it reasonably slows down the complete system for processing the protocol overhead. In addition, timely and fast serving of network transactions is necessary to be able to use the available network bandwidth and to avoid unnecessary data corruption (e.g. due to buffer overflows) which would result in causing even higher network and processor load.
The MAC-NET Core addresses and removes these performance critical components from software and combines the proven MorethanIP Triple-Speed Ethernet MAC Core with Layer 3 Protocol acceleration functions enabling wire-speed TCP/IP Networking up to Gigabit environments.

MorethanIP releases new 10/100 Ethernet MAC. The MAC provides the standard IEEE Media Independent Interface (MII) for seamless connection to standard 10/100 PHY devices, embedded clock and rate decoupling FIFOs with full-duplex and half-duplex support. It is hardware- and software compatible with MorethanIP 10/100/1000 Ethernet MAC Core making migration of 10/100 Applications to Gigabit Environments possible with minimum or no design effort.
